Leyton Grange Park Lodge was formed in 1934. (See Brief History)
Members over the years have come from around the Essex and London area, from varied backgrounds and of all age groups.
Most weeks many of us will get together in Waltham Abbey to learn more about Freemasonry and prepare for the four meetings a year, which take place at the Chingford Masonic Hall.
Whilst the venue for these meetings has changed since 1934 the regularity of them has been maintained throughout , despite the disruption of the war years.
Social and Fund raising events which in the past have included, Murder Mystery dinners, Darts matches, an Annual Dinner at a local Thai Restaurant, Ladies Festival and Xmas socials.
All monies raised, from Social events or lodge meetings, go to Charity. Local, National and Masonic charities have benefited by over £12,000 in the last ten years. Some charities that have benefited include, Waltham Forest Stroke club, Marie Curie, Essex and Herts Air Ambulance, The Pilgrims Trust, Havens Hospices and the Teenage Cancer Trust.
Read more about the Charity side of Freemasonry in the separate section.
Whatever we do we want to have fun and enjoy all aspects of the craft, whilst we learn how to improve ourselves through the values of Freemasonry.
We are already planning for our Centenary in 2034, hopefully you might consider joining us and be part of a worldwide organisation.
